Social Trade Hub review: a cloud copier, used daily
Social Trade Hub copies trades from one account to others in the cloud, with no VPS and nothing installed on your machine. We run a gold strategy through it every trading day, so this review is about how it behaves in use, not about its feature list.
We are a sender on the platform: our own gold strategy is copied to subscribers' accounts through it. We pay for it like everyone else, this page carries no affiliate or referral link, and we earn nothing if you sign up. Prices and features below were checked against Social Trade Hub's own pages on 29 September 2026 and can change.
What it actually is
A trade copier repeats one account's actions on other accounts. The "sender" is the source, each "receiver" is a destination. Social Trade Hub does this as a hosted service: both sides connect to its servers, so nothing runs on your computer and there is no VPS to rent. That single design choice is the reason most people pick it, because the usual alternative is an EA-based copier that only works while a terminal stays awake somewhere.
It supports MetaTrader 4 and 5, cTrader, TradeLocker and MatchTrader, plus Binance, Bybit, Kraken and TradingView webhooks. For gold only the first five matter, since crypto exchanges do not trade XAUUSD.
How a copy actually reaches your account
- The sender connects the source account once.
- Each receiver connects their own account and sets their own risk: fixed lots, lots per symbol, follow the sender's lots with a multiplier, balance ratio, equity ratio, or a risk percentage.
- When the sender opens, modifies, partially closes or closes anything, the hub pushes the same action to every receiver.
If you are copying somebody else's strategy rather than your own accounts, they share a sender ID with you, or they invite you by email from what the platform calls the Trade Sharing Center, where access can carry an expiry date. That is exactly how a time-limited trial works on our side: an invite that ends by itself.
What it costs
Pricing is per connected account, per month, and gets cheaper as you add accounts. From their pricing page on 29 September 2026:
| Accounts | Price per account / month |
|---|---|
| 1 | €8.00 |
| 2–4 | €7.50 |
| 5–9 | €7.25 |
| 10–19 | €7.00 |
| 20–49 | €6.75 |
| 50–99 | €6.50 |
| 100+ | €6.00 |
Two things worth knowing before you budget. First, a sender account and a receiver account are both connected accounts, so a one-to-one setup is two of them. Second, if you are joining somebody else's strategy, ask who pays for your slot: some providers include it, others expect you to hold your own subscription. We say so plainly on our own pricing section rather than letting people find out later.
The parts that earn their keep
Copying stop-loss and take-profit
There is a per-receiver switch for copying TP and SL. It sounds like a detail and it is the single most important setting on the page. With it on, the stop travels with the trade and sits on your broker's server, so an open position stays protected even if the copier, the sender or your internet drops out. With it off, you inherit entries without protection. If you take nothing else from this review, take that. If a trade has already arrived without one, we wrote a separate guide on why a stop-loss fails to copy.
Six ways to size a trade
Fixed lots, lots per symbol, the sender's lots times a multiplier, balance ratio, equity ratio, and risk percentage. Balance and equity ratio are the tempting ones because they scale automatically, but they assume both accounts speak the same units. On a cent account, or any account where the broker quietly reports balances in cents, that assumption breaks and the computed size can come out wildly wrong. On those accounts use fixed lots or a fixed multiplier, and check the first copied trade by hand.
Symbol mapping
Brokers name gold differently: XAUUSD, XAUUSD.r, XAUUSD.m, GOLD. Mapping lets a receiver match the sender's symbol to whatever their own broker calls it, which is what makes cross-broker copying work at all.
Guard rails
Equity protection closes everything when equity moves past a threshold you set, in either direction. A stop-trading target blocks new copies once a daily, weekly or monthly gain or loss is reached. There is also an economic calendar filter that can block copies or close positions around high-impact events, configurable per receiver. These are the settings that let a receiver be more conservative than the sender, which is how it should be.
A dashboard that shows failures
The sender-side dashboard groups trades by day and shows how many receivers copied each one, with the reason when one did not: stopped, paused, disconnected, licence expired, risk not configured. When somebody says "I did not get that trade", this is the difference between an answer and a guess.
What to check before you connect a live account
Strong points
- No VPS, nothing installed, works while your computer is off
- Stop-loss and take-profit copy with the trade
- Broad platform support, including cTrader, TradeLocker and MatchTrader
- Per-receiver risk settings and guard rails
- Copy failures are visible and named
Things to weigh
- The speed claim is theirs, not measured by us
- Your trading password lives with a third party
- Cent accounts break ratio-based sizing
- Small vendor, young review history
- Selling copies needs a Stripe account you can keep
The latency claim
Their site advertises roughly 2 to 8 milliseconds on "popular brokers". That is the vendor's own figure, it is not broken down per broker, and we have not measured it independently. What matters for your account is not the hub's internal hop anyway, it is the fill you get at your broker. Copy a few trades on demo and compare your entry prices with the sender's. That is a measurement anyone can do in an afternoon, and it beats any number on a marketing page.
Password custody
A cloud copier needs your trading password, not the read-only investor password, because it has to place orders. That is a real trust decision and no feature list changes it. Sensible precautions: connect a dedicated account rather than the one holding everything you own, start on demo, and keep the account's withdrawal rights tied to your own verified bank details at the broker.
Vendor size
On Trustpilot the company showed 47 reviews at 4.4 out of 5 on 29 September 2026, with the profile claimed in July 2024. That is a young track record. It is not a red flag by itself, plenty of good tools are small, but it is a reason to keep a live deployment recoverable: know how to pause copying, and know what your open trades look like if the service disappears for an hour. Because the stop sits at your broker, an outage leaves protected positions rather than naked ones.
If you plan to sell copies
The platform can collect subscriptions from your followers through Stripe Connect, with the provider keeping the larger share. Useful if you can hold a Stripe account in your country and for your kind of business, which is not a given for trading-related services. Sort that out before you build a funnel on top of it.
Who it suits
A good fit if you run one strategy across several of your own accounts, if you want to follow somebody else's trades without leaving a terminal running, or if you provide signals and want subscribers to connect themselves instead of handing you their passwords.
A poor fit if you need sub-millisecond execution for scalping a few pips, if your broker is outside the five supported platforms, or if you are unwilling to let any third party hold trading access. Those are legitimate reasons to say no.
How we use it
Our gold strategy runs on one master account on our own server. Subscribers connect their own account as a receiver and choose their own lot size, so we never see anyone's password. Every trade carries its stop-loss from the moment it opens, and with TP/SL copying on, that stop lands at each subscriber's broker too. During a trial the invite simply expires, which is the cleanest way we have found to let people test a strategy without any payment details changing hands.
See it on your own demo
Five days of our gold trades copied to a demo account of your choice, so you can watch the entries, the stops and the exits in your own terminal. No card, nothing to install.
